Each and every follower of Jesus is uniquely enabled by God to be serving God in and through His church. 

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.  1 Peter 4:10

Like a human body, which is made up of many different parts, every part of the "body of Christ" has its role and there is not one part that is unnecessary.  If you do not use whatever gift you have received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms, the church simply can not be.  You have a unique S.H.A.P.E. and Jesus' church needs you!

S.H.A.P.E. stand for:

- Spiritual gift

God has given every Christian a spiritual gift, a special ability that is designed and granted by God, the Holy Spirit and is to be employed in building up His Church.

- Heart

This refers to what we each love and desire to do and see.  It is easy to serve faithfully when we are doing what we have a heart to do.

- Abilities

Each of us has a unique set of talents and learned skills.  We are most effective when we serve in the areas of our ability.

- Personality

People are the focus of serving in Jesus' church and personality determines how we relate to each other.  The saying is especially true of the church,  "it takes all kinds".

- Experience

Some of the best areas for you to serve in are those where you have previous experience.  Assessing your experience will lead you to blessed service.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN OF THE BASIN – Biannual Women’s Conference will be held at BBC, March 2 & 3, 2012.  There will be many opportunities to serve as we host the conference.  Volunteers are needed to help set up/clean up/parking/and

keeping supplies stocked in the restrooms during the event!  Please contact Ruth Kroeker in the church office.

Also, we give another big “THANK YOU” to all of our volunteers who have helped in renovating the nursery and to those who have so unselfishly helped at Mt. Lakes Bible Camp!
