Paul & Becky Geary

Paul and Becky serve as consultants and partners with Bethesda Medical Foundation, an Indonesian non-profit hospital in West Borneo, Indonesia. They also work to strengthen and encourage the Indonesian church association. As a Medical doctor, Paul's primary ministry focus is providing health care and medical training at the hospital. Becky home schools their four children. Medical work in West Borneo is a challenge because most of the Dayak tribal peoples believe, as they have for centuries, that   spirits control every aspect of their lives.

Prayer requests for Fall 2007:  

1) Family

- our oldest son is in his second year of college in the USA. Pray for his studies and his adjustment to life in the USA.

- our 3 younger children are doing well in school this year, praise God.

2) Ministry

a - praise God for answers to prayer: Hospital operational funds continue to be healthy Patients are making decisions for Christ each month A new partnership with a local church for a clinic-evangelism outreach in a remote area of Borneo is progressing well

b - pray that the process of establishing a new body in the Bethesda Medical Foundation of Indonesia, MEDGO, for the purpose of recruiting, training and supporting Indonesian Christians as missionaries will go forward smoothly.

c - pray for needed administrative staff: IT expert, accountant, Maintenance worker, Facilities manager

d - pray for our hospital director, dr. Herman Gandi, that he will have strength and wisdom from Jesus to lead this organization.

Thank you for your partnership with us in this ministry. Pray with us that this will continue to be an effective ministry for winning souls and encouraging the believers of local churches in our area.
