The most important connection a person can make is a connection with God.  As humans, we're created to be in relationship with God and for Him to be our source of life and purpose.  But our ancestors, Adam & Eve rebelled against God and broke off the relationship with God by their sin.  Since then, every descendent has been in the same conditon, separated from God by our Sin unable to do anything about it.   Left in this condition, each of us will one day die, separated from God for all eternity.  The Bible calls this hell, and it is the just punishment for our sin against God.

But God has intervened, He sent Jesus to save us, to be the way to reconnection with God through His sacrificial death on a cross.  Now God offers to us a new relationship with Him and the gift of a new life in Him  will last forever .
